Not Every Survivor Is Clean
The Smog Rescue
Smog came out of Florida alongside Scrapstang and initially looked like
the better survivor: one owner, 36,000 miles, Calypso Green paint,
a 5.0, and a manual transmission.
Then reality showed up.
Once the inspection began, the rust story became impossible to ignore.
The trunk floor, rear window channel, and door jamb areas all revealed
damage far beyond what we expected.
Most people would start thinking parts car.
We see a low-mile, one-owner Fox Body that still deserves another shot.
That's why we're saving it.
Help Save Smog
Donate Fox Body Parts Or Leads
Smog should have been the easy one.
One owner. 36,000 miles. Calypso Green. A 5.0 and a manual transmission.
On paper, it had everything going for it. Then the rust showed up.
The trunk floor needs major repair, the rear window channel has to be
rebuilt, and there may be more hiding once the car comes apart. If you
have Fox Body sheet metal, trim, interior parts, weather stripping,
restoration contacts, or leads on clean donor pieces, it could help keep
Smog moving forward.
We are not asking for cash. We are looking for parts, knowledge, contacts,
and people who want to help save a Mustang that still deserves another shot.
